Sally Field Reveals Her Worst On-Screen Kiss
Sally Field has enjoyed an incredible Hollywood career, starring in classics like Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, Steel Magnolias, and Smokey and the Bandit.
But when asked about her worst on-screen kiss, the Oscar-winning actress gave a surprising answer: Burt Reynolds.
The two met while filming Smokey and the Bandit in 1977 and later dated for several years. Despite their real-life romance, Field joked that Reynolds wasn’t a great kisser, even recalling there was plenty of “drooling.”
Reynolds later described Field as one of the great loves of his life, but Field remembered their relationship differently, saying she eventually distanced herself because it wasn’t good for her.
Sometimes Hollywood’s greatest romances look much better on screen than they feel behind the scenes.
